While I was going through my photos for my first post, I quite sorrowfully noted the great volume of them so I’ve decided to make it a little easier for us all to truck through by separating each day into a few different sections. I suppose I could have filtered out a lot of photos but all of them were such big parts of the trip. It’s hard to part with a photo when it represents such a vivid memory for you to remember. BUT before we get too far down that winding path of cheese — here’s the first post of the first day
Up until 3 o’clock when we got settled into our first hostel at Asakusa, all of it was traveling so I will spare you the details of that save for this little photo of the sister and me. Our very first photo in Japan! And of course it was with a kawaii cardboard cutout at the Haneda Airport.
One of our first goals after getting into Tokyo was food so we stopped at a restaurant and ordered some “fluffy rice”. And it really was the very fluffiest, very best rice. One of the things I loved most about Japan was the fact you could walk into almost any restaurant and be guaranteed delicious rice.
