Getting around.

Our apartment has excellent location. When Dan and I were first looking at places, we thought we wanted to be RIGHT on Via Roma, which is like the Michigan Avenue of Chicago.
It’s where all the major stores are, like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Hermes… and then the stores that I actually go in, like H&M, Pinko, and Sephora. We wanted to be where all the action is, until we realized that the action is very loud, continuous, and goes late into the night… Every night… Including weeknights.

Dan works Monday-Friday and he has a very strict 8:30pm bedtime. He also said to me the other day, “I know these shoes don’t look very good but man they are comfortable.” Function > Fashion you are getting old.
So we live on a street that is quiet, but it’s only an 8-10 minute walk to Via Roma. And the street we take is a major street, so it has very large sidewalks that are completely covered. It’s a very nice walk no matter what the weather is.

Dan works outside of Turin, in a town called Poirino, and it takes him 30-45 minutes to drive there depending on traffic.
Nothing screams cool louder than a Fiat.
