Earlier this month I was on the Big Island of Hawaii with not too much to do. Hurricane Iselle was expected to hit and cause untold damage. All business had closed down and tourists, like me, were left with little to do.
Fortunately, for most of the island, the hurricane only hit the North and East and we were left wondering what all the fuss was about. Nevertheless business remained closed as they were concerned about hurricane Julio 48 hours behind. As it turned out the second hurricane veered to the north of the State and had no impact whatsoever.
As the island started to get back on its feet we felt the benefit of sticking out the bad weather. With most tourists off the island we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Seizing the opportunity we booked an Island Explorer photo eco tour with Photo Safari Hawaii.
