Went to MATTA Fair today and chosen Jogjakarta for my next CNY trip.

It’s the time of the year again to visit the MATTA (Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents) Fair, a twice-in-a-year fair very much suitable for people wishing to travel within or outside Malaysia in the next couple of months where tour packages have already been formed. This fair gave you the opportunity to compare between each tour and travel companies from their cost, tour itineraries, gifts, services, things covered, etc and purchase trip at a lower cost than the other days. If you are unsure of where to go, just take a walk along the many booths by different travel companies or organizations and you would easily find packages that suit you and your budget.

This year’s MATTA Fair is held at the same place again, the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC). The fair runs from 5th to 7th September 2014. So, today is the last day. Entrance fee is RM4 for a person. Before going to this fair, me and my family already had an earlier discussion for our trip on the next Chinese New Year (2015) and decided to visit some place within Asia that would be not so costly and at the same time, takes up not many days during the Chinese New Year break. Earlier suggestions include Australia (Sydney + Melbourne) but we knew that the trip is going to costs easily almost RM 6000 per person. So, forget about it. My dad’s business this year isn’t been very well and we have to seriously consider our budget this time.
