Yesterday my brother and I went to the great Balboa Park. The picture above was during a pit stop, I had to rest from my healthy brother’s pace so we stopped at; the Spreckel’s Organ Pavilion to rest. I love this place, it is amazing that they originally were temporary structures for the Worlds Fair. Isn’t beautiful and the acoustics is amazing.
We then went to our goal the Science museum, as we passed the now pedestrian area I checked out the changes in front of the Art Museum and The Globe. There isn’t much of difference except a lot of cement. They have the same fountain and gardens and art work.I love the area though, if you have never seen a play at The Globe when you were in San Diego it is worth the trip.
We walked through to the wonderful street performers to the Science Museum. We wanted to see the new exhibit about Illusions. And we did, it was a lot of fun. It is amazing how the human eye can be tricked. No wonder 5 people can see the same thing and describe 5 different things.
We also so an amazing Imax film that I think everyone should see called, Born To Be Wild; It is an amazing film about two women who raise orphaned baby wild animals. One lady raises orangutans in Borneo and the other raises elephants in Kenya. It really touched both our hearts.
