1. Swiss Army Knife – I purchased a white Swiss army knife that is only available in Switzerland. You cannot get a white knife anywhere else, only red. The limited availability of this knife makes it one of my favourite souvenirs and it only cost 19 francs ($22 Canadian).
2. Clogs – I wasn’t originally going to buy a pair of clogs because I saw them at a higher price, but when I saw them for much cheaper I decided this was the best time to buy them. Having a Dutch girlfriend made these a worthy souvenir because they will be useful to wear and interesting for decoration.
3. Tankard/Beer mug – I bought a beer mug in b from the Bayern Munich soccer store. I love soccer and I thought it would be cool to buy a beer mug rather than a very expensive beer stein. Germans love their beer so buying a beer mug as a souvenir was essential.
4. Penis toothbrush – In Amsterdam, sex is every where in the Red Light District. You can’t leave Amsterdam without purchasing a funny sex souvenir. I waited until the last minute and purchased a penis toothbrush and penis shaped sponge. These souvenirs were funny gag gifts for my dad so they weren’t taken too seriously.
5. Masquerade Masks – Masquerade masks were almost everywhere in Venice. I felt compelled to buy one, especially since I don’t ever plan on going back. I was able to buy a perfectly good Venetian mask for just under two euros.
Bonus Souvenir – PICTURES!! These are the best souvenirs from my trip to Europe. Now I just need to print them off and use them as refrigerator magnets.
