While traveling I met three French girls inviting me to have dinner with them, which made me surprised because many people think French are arrogant. Well, I saw kindness and humbleness in them. Not all of them are haughty. My Korean boss who owns a sushi shop gave me 250 NZD to supply my travel when I left my job to travel around New Zealand. I was told that Korean bosses are stingy there; however, I saw a different story again. My boss was generous and kind. Some of our prejudice is not correct in fact.
If we are in their shoes, that will be very hard to hear things that are not true about us. When I was studying in New Zealand, I told a caucasian that I am Taiwanese and he replied: “Oh, so you are Chinese.”
“No, I am Taiwanese.”I said “Well, it’s got no difference. You all speak Chinese.”He said dismissively.“In that case, I can call you American just because you speak English? You cannot distinguish a person’s nationality only by the language he speaks”
