Travel: Montreal Roadtrip

Happy Thursday! I have another throwback travel piece for you today. Back in May, my boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a weekend away in Montréal! I flew into Toronto (where my boyfriend currently lives) on Porter Airlines.

If you haven’t heard about Porter, they’re a great boutique airline that flies out of several US cities to many Canadian destinations and vice versa. Once I made it through customs, I jumped in his car and we headed east towards Montréal! Along the way, we stopped to take pictures with The Big Apple because honestly…when you’re road tripping, you have to stop and take silly pictures with giant cartoon fruit sculptures.

Once we arrived in Montréal, we spent the majority of our weekend in the historic district of Old Montréal. Old Montréal is one of the oldest urban areas in North America with some of its buildings dating back to the 17th century. When you walk on the narrow cobblestone streets you feel as though you’ve been transported back in time to some place in Europe.
