So we did a day trip to Windsor, we caught a train from London Paddington to get to Windsor with 1 change. Last time when we went to Windsor was to go to legoland. This time, we went to Windsor to visit the Windsor Castle, home to the Queen. If you go in the morning, you may able to see the changing of the guard. There is one in Buckingham palace and also one at Windsor castle. There is an admission to go in Windsor castle. We were hoping to see the queen as the flag was up to show she is in the castle. However we didn’t get to see her in person. However we walked inside the castle. It was pretty cool, it is similar to other palace I’ve been to, such as Holywell castle in Edinburgh. There is a doll house which I would recommend you to see, it is free once you are inside the castle. We spent about 2 hours in the castle, wandering around the State room and looking at artwork and artefact.
We had a late lunch nearby the castle. It is a nice white café which have outdoor seating. That day had really good weather, so we sat outside. As we went there on Sunday, we had Sunday roast and cream tea, so both lunch and tea at the same time. It was quite interesting having lunch and tea at the same time. After lunch, we walked the Royal Mile, basically it is a really big park with a mile of straight path. The path one end is Windsor castle and the other one just take you down to a main road of Windsor. If there isn’t anyone on the path, it is pretty cool view, just one long path with greens on both sides. As we went to Windsor before, we quickly wander the town centre and went back to London.
